HI! I’m Jen, and I am fun and easy going : ) I truly love what I do, and I pride myself in being able to make all my clients comfortable in front of my camera! I am who I am because of all of you, and I wouldn’t have it any other way : ) I hold each and every one of you near and dear to my heart.
I use “haha” and emoticons waaaayyyyyyy to much, but it’s only because I laugh a lot. A LOT. Maybe I laugh too much?! Na, not possible, haha
I can swim the 100 meter backstroke in under 1 minute (well, ok, I used to be able to, haha)
I am madly in love with Denzel, he’s my spouse in another life, I’m sure of it
I hate door to door solicitors, no I do not want to buy meat out of the back of your creepy truck, thank you very much
If I wasn’t a photographer I would be a party planner or interior designer
My hubbs says I am the best wife ever. Just throwin that out there, I mean it must be true, so I thought I’d be polite and give you the heads up![]()
I drive a white Chevy Tahoe
I have a really cool family
I am awesome at Texas Hold Em, like watch out boys, I’ll take all your money![]()
I am really clumsy. It’s bad, I feel sorry for my boys, they have to deal with it daily
I really do try to keep up with my FFF (five fact friday) so if you get a chance to check that out, you will learn even more about me - some things you may not want to know, just a warning![]()
My boys and I have recently made quite a few changes to our life, and are thrilled about them! We made a big move from the DC area to Austin TX! I put my business on hold for a little over a year while we built a house and got settled back in, enough that we now call ATX home! I have my office back, and I am jumping at the bit to get going again! Along with the move came a few other changes that I have been thinking long and hard about
I used to be a family photographer, but am making the change to only High School Seniors! You are still more than welcome to view all my old work on fb, and my special album on the blog, but other than that, it’s only Seniors from here on out
I am very excited about this change, and really look forward to it, so I hope you will join me on this new journey, by having your Senior portraits done with me, or simply following along through fb & my blog.
Seniors ROCK! They always want something new and different. Something that makes their photos stand out, and boy do I love to deliver it! They really force me to think outside the box and we all know my work as a photographer is my creative outlet. So, me and seniors…we just click. They are my top choice to photograph and I cannot wait for senior season this year – bring it on class of 2013!
I am a mom and a wife also, and my 2 boys make me happier than I ever imagined I would have the privilege to be!

This is James, he is my foundation, and I could not imagine life without him. He is also sometimes known as Poodie : )

This is Connor, he is almost 5 and is our little miracle! My pregnancy with him was rough. I was in and out of ICU due to my kidney disease, and he was brought into the world with a true stop that elevator emergency C-Section, at only 30 weeks gestation. He was exactly 3lbs and spent just over 6 weeks in the NICU. He is so strong and beautiful, and the most important thing in the whole world to me. You might also know him as Sniggs : )

If you wanna know more, you are more than welcome to ask! Remember? I am very fun and easy going! So, don’t hesitate to ask me anything : ) Or if you’re shy you can…
or
or, just keep blog stalking me
I love it, haha
If you’re another photographer, I am just as open with you as I am with my clients, so don’t you hesitate either! I get at least a few emails a day from other photogs and I do take the time to answer each and every one, (usually have to be patient and give me a few days, haha) but I will get back to you : )
Thanks for reading through my blog, it’s flattering! Have a great day : )

Stacy Urick - I love the new website and love the specialization you are doing! Fantastic job as always. I love looking at your work as you know and learning from one of the experts in the field (ok, THE expert to me but you know THAT too!) Can’t wait to hear how your Round Rock Senior Journey goes!

Brenda - Hi
Your work is beautiful. I was just wondering what kind of lens you use? Also, how do you manipulate the different colors in the backdrop that has the fluffy rug?
Thanks much,
Brenda

Kristen Soderquist - Hi Jen,
I just wanted to drop a line to introduce myself and let you know that I really enjoy your blog (yes, I am a blog stalker to many LOL). I live in Lakeport and have found you through friends of mine that told me to check out your work!!! I am finally starting my photography business and just wanted to introduce myself since I know you are from this area.
There are not to many photographers in this area and even though you aren’t here anymore, I know you do some session when you visit.
Take care and looking forward to many more blog posts!!!
