James was given an amazing job offer out there and we accepted it yesterday!  We are so thrilled, and guess what?!   We move next week!  Ahhhhh, haha   So, please be patient with the blog, I promise I’ll be posting as soon as I get re-settled, and it’ll be BIG and fabulous  ;)   ’cause I’m told things are done big in Texas!  haha

I have a new addiction, well not new, been addicted all summer long, but I have yet to admit it.  So, here it goes … I am addicted to ice water with too much lemon.  But, you all know me, so of course there is a catch, it’s only good in a CamelBak Better Bottle.  They are the best!   At least this addiction is good for me right?  Poor James though, he constantly has to stop at the store to get lemons, I go through a few a day, haha   I’m sippin’ from this bad boy as I type : )

I might do one more photo class in VA if I get enough people, so if you are interested, please let me know asap, I will be deciding this coming week : )  The last 2 have been so much fun!!  Here’s a few snaps I snuck in from the class I taught out in CA, these were our two cutsie little models, and they brought their smiles : )

On a totally different love kind of level, I also LOVE Shark Week!  Yay, I cannot wait for it to start, I’ve got my tivo all ready to go!  James teases me, he says I’m too obsessed, but then whent i starts he gets just as excited and always checks the tivo to make sure it’s going strong with all kinds of killer shark shows!  So I know he’s secretly excited that I’m smitten on it, because otherwise he would have to admit he is.

I am doing my first VA Momtog photo class tomorrow, and I’m super excited!  I’ve had so much fun doing them out in CA, and I cannot wait to teach these ladies how to put those expensive cameras to use!!

I have created a monster!

I first picked up an SLR camera in High School, and ever since then I have made my little sister and her friends model for me, haha.  Well, recently I’ve come to realize that using her so much for practice has backfired.  Now every time I go home I have to do photos of her, the girl is obsessed.  It’s ok though, she’s gorgeous, and we always have tons of fun!  Here’s some of my faves from the pics I did this month for her and Mike – and yes, this is the same boyfriend, and even though they aren’t even engaged, this is like their 3rd “engagement” type session, haha.

Back home they shoot the fireworks over the lake and everyone goes out on their boats to watch, it’s so much fun, and makes for an amazing view!  Enjoy,

Brooke is a photog friend of mine, and we’ve had this session planned for a while!  Her boys are so stinkin’ cute, and she’s gorgeous, so who wouldn’t have fun?!!

Commercials always get me!  All the time I’m like “Oh my gosh babe, look what that does, we must have it!”  haha  I never get the stuff, thanks to my hubbs, but I always leave the living room thinking that was the coolest thing ever!  Well recently I saw a commercial for Lash Stiletto Mascara, so I got it at Target, and guess what, the commercial totally lied to me!!  Not cool, right?!  That stuff is horrible, and I threw it away, but I was more hurt that I was promised great volume and length, when all I really got was watered down gook  Definitely grab a different kind when you are standing in the make-up isle in need of eyelash enhancement

I have never been in love with a girl before, but I am totally crushin’ on Lauren Froderman, from this season of  So You Think You Can Dance!  Her last solo in Vegas week was UH-MAZING!  Go check it out here : )  awww, love!  haha  I’m callin’ it now, mark the date, she’s the winner!

I leave for CA on Wednesday!  I am so excited, and cannot wait : )  I get to go spend time with all my family, and enjoy 4 weeks of pool, lake, and summer fun!  Sniggs is pretty stoked too – yay!

I am loving the new 4×8 Accordion Books from Mpix Pro – they are so cool!  And to make them even better, Jamie Schultz has fabulous templates!  I made this one for a sample, and have already sold 3 since I got this one in!  Everybody loves them!!

I have been interested in Interior Design for a long time now, if I wasn’t a photog I definitely know that is what I would be doing, I just love it so much!  Anyway, I’ve been looking around on design blogs a lot more lately, and I came across the coolest site ever!  Copy Cat Chic She shows you all these amazing pieces that are super expensive, then where you can get pretty much the same piece, only cheaper – way cool!  Go check it out

I had a “very proud of myself” moment this week – I did the 300 workout! I rocked it out like a pro, so very very tough!!  I used 65lbs for my dead lifts though, boy I wish I could do 135!  haha

I am a little frustrated with Millers today, I had to reprint one file twice!  I sent off a whole order for printing, and one of the photos printed in a few different sizes came back all blown and blotchy.  I do not let Millers color correct, so I called and asked them to re-print it.  They said they would print it color corrected since it was a black and white, and that might help, so I said fine.  The next day it arrived way worse, so so dark!!  Ugh, I called and asked them to just reprint it without any corrections, and that the file was good.  So, they put that in and I got it today looking fabulous : )  I just don’t understand why it wasn’t printed like that the first time, all 3 print runs where from the exact same file, so I just don’t get why they all looked sooooo different.  In the end the whole process started Tuesday and ended today though, so thank Heaven for their turn around time!!  Just a little frustrated, wanted to vent, thanks for the ear, haha

I’m drinking hot chocolate right now, I never thought I would want hot cocoa in the middle of Spring/Summer, but hey, I guess that’s what I get for living in VA!  It could be worse, right?!  Ahhh, the tortures of thunderstorms, lol

I am officially starting a line of fine art products : )  I’m really excited!  I will create my own art for sale, or you can contact me for a custom job, if you’re looking for something specific.  Anything you can think of, flower art in certain colors/styles, vintage car photos for a kids room, glassware for the kitchen, really anything, just name it  : )
